MAXIM Singapore’s 1st Anniversary Party
I received a last minute telephone call from Hotspots on Saturday to grab my camera and head for Dbl-O Bar where a press pass was waiting for me. MAXIM Singapore was holding a closed door bash in honor of their first year in Singapore. MAXIM did not spare any expense - free booze/food, door gifts, lucky draws, six sexy models, two cover girls, mini-photo studio, and free hair salon. I would estimate that the crowd peaked at 300+ persons - mostly men, of course. However, this was the well-heeled set. Therefore, some men were accompanied by nice-looking significant others.
The models (local girls, of course) brandishing short riding crops, performed several dance routines and did a round of bartop dancing. A large mock-up of the December 2005 issue of MAXIM Singapore was unveiled by the Malaysian MTV VJs (now cover girls) - May Wan and Choy Wan. Click on the thumbnail above and you will see a larger photo of these lovelies. Don’t blame me… I didn’t pick those dresses!
One of the sponsors of this event was Carl’s Jr. They plan to open 25 new restaurants in Singapore and Malaysia over the next eight years. Yikes… their burgers are huge! Does that mean we can look forward to some Amercian-sized tushes here in the future? I hope not!
