Adobe is doing a Southeast Asia Roadshow July 12-19th with one-day events scheduled in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The event is titled ‘Adobe Photoshop World Asia 2006′ and will be held in Singapore on July 19th at SunTec City .

According to Adobe, the event should be of interest to: Photographers, Creative Professionals, Web & Graphic Designers, Artists, Motion Graphics Designers, Multi Media Designers, Educators, and Photoshop users of every kind.

Here is the Agenda:

8:30am-9:00am: Registration/Welcome (Creativity Track)

9:00am-12:00pm: Photoshop Geeks – change the way you work with professional image enhancement techniques, learn killer techniques, solve common Photoshop problems, control digital noise, rendering atmospheric effects, and more.

1:00pm-1:30pm: Registration/Welcome (Photography Track)

1:30pm-4:30pm: Darkroom Academy – learn lighting techniques, discover different types of panoramas, putting your portfolio on the web, techniques for image restoration, and more.

4:30pm-5:00pm: Photography Live – Get inside the head of a renowned photographer and learn why Photoshop CS2 is something that you can’t live without in the life of a photographer.

There is a concurrent session in Chinese language from 1:30pm-4:30pm entitled ‘Photoshop Discoveries (Creativity & Photography Tracks)’.

Robert’s opinion is that holding the event mid-week will greatly limit attendance by more casual users. It’s not that easy for most Singaporeans to take a day off from work. Professionals, of course, can justify attending as a skills enhancement activitiy.

It’s not specifically mentioned, however I would assume that there will be a presentation on the new Adobe Lightroom application.

Addendum – July 3rd: Adobe just sent me this new link via email. They must have had some credibiltiy issues after posting the first notice on ‘museondemand’. This new link is on an Adobe server.
