Back from Vacation in Thailand

I just got back to Singapore after 11 days vacation in Thailand. As nice as Singapore is, it’s just too small and one needs to get out occasionally. Thailand is great place to spend the holidays – so many choices and so little time. Superb weather this time of year! It got so cold at night that I had to put on a long sleeve shirt. Such suffering!

Most of the time was spent in and around Bangkok enjoying the food and nightlife. Also, I was thoroughly de-stressed by several sessions of Thai Massage (Nuat Phaen Boran). I did manage to take a sidetrip to Kanchanaburi Province for 3 days. Highlights of that trip include a visit to the Bridge on the River Kwai, Hellfire Pass, Tiger Temple, and Pra Prathom Chedi.
