Canon EOS 20D Time-Lapse Movie

Improvements in dSLR frame rates and buffer capacities have made time-lapse photography possible. One can then combine the images to emulate video. This is one of the best examples that I have seen. It was made with a Canon EOS 20D and some custom controllers. These scenes shot around LAX airport are really fantastic! The original can be found at 599 Productions. They are a new production company based out of the Los Angeles, California.

I have not tried it but apparently the Canon TC-80N3 Timer Remote Controller can used for time-lapse photography. However, better control is possible using a labtop, a USB cable and software such as Breeze Systems’ DSLR Remote Pro 1.3. For sustained time-periods, stick to small or medium-sized JPEGs.

Per the comment below, also check out GBTimelapse from Granite Bay Software.
