Titanium Marvel - Canon Digital IXUS 960 IS
The titanium-cased IXUS 960 IS, successor to last year’s IXUS 900Ti, has just arrived on the scene. Canon has added image stabilization while stretching the zoom range from 3.0 to 3.7. Of debatable importance is the jump in resolution from 10MP to 12.1MP. Given the small sensor size and commensurate noise at medium and high ISO values, we doubt anyone will be blowing the photos up to poster size. But then again, you never know!
Interestingly, the IXUS 960 IS has an ‘intervalometer’ which is Canon’s name for a time-lapse photography mode. Other specifications including the dimensions are nearly identical to the IXUS 900Ti. Still no RAW file format!

Now, do you want to get really confused? The IXUS 960 IS is called the PowerShot SD 950 IS in the USA. Earlier this year, Canon introduced the IXUS 950 IS which, of course, is called the PowerShot SD 850 IS in the USA.
