RobertPhotoBlog goes Mobile

Mobile version of RobertPhotoBlogFollowing in the footsteps of popular sites such as Mashable, ReadWriteWeb, and ReadBurner; RobertPhotoBlog is now available in mobile format. Fully supported are standard mobile phones, Blackberries, as well as 3G devices including the iPhone and iTouch. Also supported are 1st generation iPhones that still use AT&T’s EDGE network.

Special formating solves display and layout problems caused by mobile device browsers. The new mobile format results in faster page loading and reduces bandwidth usage. Images from our posts are made it into small thumbnails that are displayed next to the post title. Larger images, specially sized for phone’s LCD, are visible in the posts.

Of course, the iPhone and iTouch formating looks the best. You will even find a webclib icon for RobertPhotoBlog that the iPhone or iTouch will automatically composite with the standard “glassy” overlay so it looks like a built-in iPhone or iPod touch application. And yes, the standard keyboard shortcuts work.

At the bottom of the posts on the mobile site there is an ‘Email This’ option allowing you to email the full HTML version of that post to whomever you want to send it to. Just below the ‘Email This’ option, you will find links to bookmark the post to del.icio.us and share it on Twitter.
